This was what I was expecting when I thought of I pictured southern California beaches. Hippies, smoke shops, surfers, smokers and souvenir shops. Glad we checked this beach out.

Ocean beach has a surfer feel to it. The beach is right there and the folks that lives here seem carefree and lay back. Parking during the weekday isn't as bad as the weekend. Plenty of restaurants and gift shops.

Clean, fun, beautiful views, good eats, highly recommended. We ate amazing seafood, drank champagne overlooking the ocean, played pool at a local bar. Again, highly recommended.

I believe so. I have seen tents and canopies before, but you are right no overnight camping.
