Our Hotel, Urban Boutique Hotel was just a block from this wonderful section .... Little Italy. My husband and I enjoyed exploring different shops and lots of great eateries. We dined at Signo DeVino, Civico, Napizza ... excellent food. And grabbed some few desserts in the area. Many of the restaurants have their tables outside with a heater ... and... More

I have worked in Little Italy for 27 years and lived here for about 7. I love walking out the door to have markets, restaurants, cool boutiques, antique and vintage shops right there. The walk downtown or to the bay is quick, only a couple blocks. Hillcrest is about a 50 minute walk up the mesa. Balboa Park is a... More

Little Italy is a beautiful neighborhood with a variety of shops and restaurants. It is a great spot to just walk around and just stop into whatever looks interesting. There are many places to get a quick drink or coffee.

Great walking with nice shops and excellent restaurants for every taste. Great neighborhood for a nice night walk and plenty of places to eat, have a drink, or grab dessert after a good dinner.

We got a tour of Little Italy and learned about the history. It was really neat to learn about the area and how it has changed. Looks like it is growing fast. Loved the food!

So many dynamic shops and restaurants in this area of town. It is not just Italian food as one may think.

The San Diego "Little Italy" is not your Boston, Philly or NYC Little Italy. Modern architecture; just a couple of blocks long, but has some great Italian restaurants and cafes to enjoy pasta, espresso and Italian pastry. There is a great Columbus day festival too.

I've live and worked in Little for over 20 years now and the change and improvement has been dramatic. Very walkable and close to all though intimate and special. We now have enough restaurants...please! Parking can be a challenge so alternatives could be recommended. San Diego's best and largest farmers market on Saturday mornings.
