Little Italy was just a couple blocks from our hotel, and it is a happening place. Christmas decorations were out, visitors everywhere. Had three lovely dinners at a group of restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed people watching. It'a a great place to wander and look for...More

We visited the Little Italy area twice in a few short days. Once, to have a long, lingering lunch and then a follow-up visit to experience a fabulous Saturday market. Both worked out well as walking in the neighborhood is a fun activity in and...More

This is such a great place to walk around. You need at least a couple of hours. It is a must that you eat somewhere while you are there.

Downtown San Diego has several Historic Districts and Little Italy is a favorite of mine as it has such a distinctive neighborhood feel. Lots of people out and about and certainly enjoying their restaurants. Wander down India Street to see the overhead Little Italy sign.

Great area with lots of food and bar options. being from an Italian part of Melbourne, Australia we felt right at home here. We tried seafood and Pizza options. All very good. You can walk or catch the trolley from Downtown San Diego.
