Large island in the bay. A lot of motorhome/homeless people hanging out and that was a little uncomfortable. The bay is beautiful and there is a lot of space on the island with waterfront access

We enjoyed walking dogs for an hour unleashed in the large fenced park, then day camped with our kayak and truck parked on the beach. Horses are also welcomed on the island. It's very primitive, bring an ice chest with water.

Moved here 6 months ago and found a happy place at Fiesta Island. I have 2 dogs and it is such a joy to be able to take them out to be dogs! No leash, large meadow to roam, calm beach for them to swim...More

Fiesta Island is a great place to check out if you're visiting San Diego with your dog, or if you're local and somehow have never been. Follow the signage to the backside of the island where you'll find an enclosed dog park, which leads down...More

Fiesta Island is one of San Diego's last undeveloped bay land mass. It's pretty much dirt and sand island good for running your dog or going to the Old Mission Beach Athletic Club's Over the Line Tournament in August. Then it's pretty exciting with lots...More

What a great resource for San Diego dog owners! Gorgeous off leash park where you can walk and romp with the dogs for miles along the water. Met some very nice people and fun dogs. Can't wait to visit next year.

This is the most dog friendly place you will find in San Diego. There is ample parking in the sand by the fenced off section of the beach. Once you enter through the fenced area, the remainder of the beach is fenced off from traffic,...More

It's pretty much dog heaven if your dogs like to play in the water. There's parking along the road just above the beach or you can drive down closer. (Watch out for the occasional jerks in trucks speeding down the beach.) If you go on...More

Come to the beach, find a fire ring, enjoy the sunset. Wait until 9:50 and watch the Sea World fireworks every night. Bring your bike and ride around the island.
