Excellent museum, well laid out. The docents were energetic and very caring about their ship and the history of the midway. You can walk through quickly in 1-2 hours or spend the day there.

A beautiful museum and tribute to our service men and women. I am so glad we had this visit. The jets on the decks were amazing . Put your walking shoes on. This tour is up & down steps, but worth the time.

The USS Midway is a piece of living history; and an homage to the men and women who have given their lives and their efforts for this country. The self-guided audio walking tour is terrific, with it's first-hand accounts of action and details. The docens [most of whom are well above the age of 65] delight in sharing their personal... More

Allow the whole day. There are many exhibits to look at and interpretive signage to read, movies/videos to watch and docents to listen to. We got there at 11 and left at 4 but wished we had arrived at 10am when they first opened. We loved everything and learned a lot of WWII history which I find fascinating. It was... More

There's almost too much to see in one day. We arrived around 2 & didn't see half by closing. They offer to stamp your ticket for free entry the next day. Wear comfortable shoes. You need to be able to climb steep stairs etc. We visited the Midway a number of years ago & they have so much more to... More

You can even tour the conning tower/bridge.See how the men lived and sacrificed, as they kept us all safe. The volunteer staff are knowledgeable and friendly. There is food available for purchase and... More

The Midway is history lesson. The docents are wonderful and give you so much information. The carrier, which one does not usually get to trod upon, the airplanes, the San Diego view are well worth the time.

Very interesting place. You have to be prepared to spend 2-3 hours there. Ticket costs $20 per person, but you can find many deals online and find it up to $7 cheaper . Don't miss the free audio guide tour - it's great.
