My husband's uncle is buried here, so we wanted to see his grave site. This cemetery is the most beautiful sight I have ever seen for a burial grounds. The view of the ocean is incredible and the whole experience is just amazing and unforgettable.
On a hill with beautiful views, are thousands of pristine, perfectly aligned, white gravestones, marking the passage of those who served their country in the military, including those who gave their lives in combat. Remember them with thanks and love.
My nephew, who is a marine had Ft. Rosecrans Cemetery on our must see list. What a beautiful and moving tribute to our fallen soldiers. We went at sundown and honestly, what a humbling experience as colors played over the loudspeakers off in the distance.
While going to Point Lima State Park, we saw this cemetery and were in total disbelief as we had no idea this existed in San Diego and then the thought of what it truly meant left us a bit emotional.
