We have a National Parks Pass and have visited most of the parks. We also live an hour away and couldn't believe we've never been here. Get off 95 at the New Smyrna exit and drive all the way East to A1A, then just drive South til you get to the entrance gate. You have to pay by the car... More

It was raining, and didn't think we would see many birds, but it was excellent. Saw eagles, osprey, limpkins, cormorants, coots, moor hens, grebes, glossy ibis, white ibis, egrets, great white pelicans, blue herons, little blue herons, tri-colored herons, spoonbills, kingfisher, 8 gators, and 2 wild pigs. It was a good day for birding. First we ate at Dixie Crossroads.

Visiting the National Seashore shows a drastic contrast between the condos and the natural seashore. There is an abrupt change as you drive to Canaveral National Seashore. Beautiful area and well preserved. A lovely drive with many places to get out and walk the area.

Went during off-season (?) in mid-Feb. Beautiful beaches, quiet and lots of wildlife if that's your thing. Close to many amenities. If you want a somwhat secluded beach with lots of nature don't miss it!

I go often to get away from it all. There is no building or running water. So, it’s you and nature. Just be prepared with you own water and you will be fine. There is lots of wildlife in the area so keep an eye for it. If you are a bird watcher then this is the place for you.

It's just a desolate beach. You'll find a series of beach access points and parking lots. No vendors of any kind, very limited restroom facilities. I don't know that I would go to the beach there again considering that Pelican Beach is closer to me (Satellite Beach-Indialantic)

The beach is beautiful. It is clean. It does not have life guards or concessions. Looking south, one can see NASA property. There are multiple entrances and all are wheel chair/handicap accessible. Restrooms at each parking entrance are clean.

Had a great time and spent a bit of time on Playalinda beach with the family. Somewhat quiet and peaceful location on a large swath of beach!

There are plenty of restrooms well spaced how along the travel way. Tremendous abundance of Wildlife and a beautiful environment. But be forewarned the Northern end of facility tends to be frequented buy nudist... More

If you enjoy the built up, busy, buzzing, coastal town type experience, then this place is not for you. Canaveral National Seashore (including the beautiful Playalinda Beach) is as unspoilt as it gets. The natural beauty of the place and the wildlife that exists within it are just fantastic. Canaveral National Seashore is pretty much fully accessible by car and... More
