Even though the viewing conditions were less than ideal, the hosts were wonderful in making sure everyone was able to see the bio-luminescent jellyfish and everyone had a safe and enjoyable night-time kayaking adventure.

Hi Dianne, Thanks for taking the time to write us a review! So much of what we do hinges on weather conditions, and that's part of what makes it an adventure! We really appreciate your understanding and love that you had a great time even with non-ideal conditions. That's what life seems to be about! We'd love to have you... More

We called A Day Away Kayak Tours and within 2 hours they delivered the kayaks to Parrish Park. After a few minutes of refresher instructions, we were given a wonderful kayak route. We visited 2 islands and then went along the shoreline back to the beach. We saw various birds, horseshoe crabs, string rays and few fish. There a facilities... More

This past weekend, myself and a group of college students returned to A Day Away Kayaking Tours for our fourth bioluminescent kayaking experience in the past three years. The guides were extremely patient, which is important with a group of 30-40 college students, and well educated in the information they were giving! An extremely fun and educational activity for all.... More

We certainly strive to provide excellent service, safety, and information on every tour. Glad to know it shows. Myself and my girlfriend went on the nighttime comb jelly tour, and it was extremely fun as well as educational. Both of us are wildlife enthusiasts and fairly educated regarding the biomes of Florida, but our guide (Bill) was still able to teach us a few new interesting facts. The tour lasted about 90 minutes and I definitely felt like... More

Went once and had to return the next month. Magical evening kayak tour. Calm, shallow, warm water, tour went at an appropriately leisurely pace to enjoy the setting. Saw intense bioluminescence. Not much hotel selection close by, so next time will try to find a camp site or other option to be able to stay and enjoy this place. Also... More

Hi Jayne, It sounds like you were part of our summer "Dino Bio" tour! We find them addicting, too! To camp on the refuge, you can request a permit from Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and rent kayaks from us to get to the island. Alternatively, you could choose Manatee Hammock campground or KOA, but both of those are about... More

This tour far exceeded my expectations. The comb jellies were bright and numerous and there was even a surprising amount of dinoflagyllate activity. Our tour leaders made us feel safe and each one had a real enthusiasm for eco-friendly wildlife tourism. Booking this tour was the best gift I could have given my sister. We had a blast!!!

We went out on a tour with this company in October, when the bioluminescent organisms are making the water look like a giant lava lamp. It was incredible. The guides were extremely kind when we were slow, and made sure that everyone was accounted for at all times. They were very knowledgeable as well. Be sure you don't wear jeans... More
