Beach is narrow, crowded, nothing like it used to be. Residents very unfriendly and un welcoming. Not easily accessed. Rude people, water not clear anymore. Won’t go back!! Yuck!!

Great pond is lovely. It interconnects with several smaller ponds. It's a great place to go canoeing, biking, or walking. There are lots of wild blueberry bushes around the lake and the surrounding fire roads.

The only public access is at the Town beach on Cahoon Hollow Rd. Trying to access from long pond rd may get the cops called in you for trespassing from one of the private home owners. For the past several years the water has been...More

Great spot for families with young children. Kids loved the swimming. You will need a Wellfleet sticker for parking.

Great way to get the salt off you after a day at the beach. Thanks for leaving a titanic-sized piece of ice under the morain 17,000 years ago, Mr. Glacier!!

Be careful in August with hot temps and no rain. The ponds get a little gross and ear infections go up. The ponds are fed by rain water and runoff.

A fantastic small beach in the woods of Wellfleet! A very mellow vibe, super clean and clear water. The view is great. And thanks to the limited parking it does not get crowded.

Wonderful glacial 'pond' that is perfect for kayaking and small boat sailing. Large-mouthed bass are plentiful. Sandy access all around with two public beaches

I'm really enjoying the view, while staying at The Wagner at Duck Creek! You must go and also visit this Inn! <3

I’ve never in 50+ years in going to Wellfleet seen algae take over Great Pond. There is ‘some’ algae in the shallow weeds along the west and northwest areas. Nothing of any significance in my opinion. However, the clarity... More
