I was pretty reluctant to spend about $40 on a museum for two adults and two kids- but I am glad my eight year old sold us. Between the outdoor exhibits, the Elizabeth II working replica ship, and the kid-friendly museum we had a great...More

We debated visiting here, and I am very glad that we decided to go. All of the individuals were helpful and interesting; they gave an idea of the life of the past without being totally immersed as reenactors, which I liked. Everyone obviously enjoyed the...More

The costumed staff of the ship and of the settlement are well-informed and engaging. We were there in off-season, and seemed to have the whole place to ourselves. I enjoyed the approach the interpreters use- they do not endlessly role-play characters from centuries past. They...More

This is well worth the time. The price of admission is very reasonable, and there is plenty of parking. The Avenue, a restaurant, is nearby for lunch. Take time to talk to the reenactors, they are very good. The ship, the Elizabeth II, was a...More

Beautiful place surrounded by water. Full moon while there. Nice park and restrooms. Great place for a stroll.

This is a place where you can really learn something. And it doesn't hurt a bit. History from early settlers to civil war to present. Well worth 4-6 hours of time. Explore the early village, the replica ship and the museum. Great place.

Had an amazing time with my wife and 3 sons. Very informative. The best part, by far, is the people who worked the areas. Very informative, took time to talk to everyone and very interactive! I would do this again!

We visited here after visiting Fort Raleigh so we had some background information. The living exhibits were very informative and the people stayed in character and seemed knowledgeable about their subjects. I loved the ship!! We come from New England so we know the Constitution...More

One of the highlights at Festival Park is the Elizabeth II. It is a replica ship where you can explore and talk to the re-enactors on the boat to learn more. It is small in the ship with low headroom. The people on the ship...More

Went here with other family members, all adults. The exhibits at the park had a lot of good information about Native American life on the island before Europeans settling, as well as what life was like on the island for the English. The ship was...More

Oh yes! Lots of things to look at there. And there are places to sit along the way if you get tired. There are also a lot of exhibits which are interactive. Enjoy your day!

Almost everything is outside. It is fairly small, so you can probably still do everything.
