I walked cross-town to see the Chrysler building, even though one can only go into the lobby. Well worth it. Amazing art and art deco architecture -- a phenomenal classic that is extremely worthwhile.

Obviously an amazing building, but aside from standing in the small lobby open to the public, there isn't much else for tourists to do or see.

Bear in mind that any building you go up will not have that building in the view, so I would recommend going up the rock or one world, as you'll want the Chrysler or the empire state in your view. And eat somewhere else... More
