I don't know do people actual go in the Chrysler building? I always just stare at in wonder & use it as part of my mental compass. Architecularly stunning.

I love the ornate-ness of the Chrysler Building's top - the design of the entire peak that gradually becomes so small that it's antenna looks as if it's reaching to the clouds. On the street it can be seen several blocks away; or if you're...More

You can only go into the main lobby of the Chrysler (free) but it is a must for the architectural detailing and the painted ceilings. Outside it has the iconic stainless steel gargoyles and tower. The latter is spectacular lit up at night.

couldn't get access to the building which was disappointing but to see it close up after looking at it from a distance from top of the rock and the empire state building is wonderful.

There is no viewing platforms in this building, all you can really do is enter the main entrance for free and take a look at the Art Deco setting, wall tiles and lighting and lift entrances made of wood

Another iconic building. I just love its art-deco style, so beautiful. if you are visiting NYC, don't forget to point your camera to this building. Doesn't get as much attention but way better than the empire state building.

The viewing deck at the Chrysler Building has been closed for decades, so get your Manhattan views either at 30 Rock or the Empire State, or the magnificent One World Trade observatory downtown. BUT, don't miss the Chrysler... More

Bear in mind that any building you go up will not have that building in the view, so I would recommend going up the rock or one world, as you'll want the Chrysler or the empire state in your view. And eat somewhere else... More
