Turns out they have closed. Rumer has it that they were paying 15M$ a year rent so they closed, maybe they will open elsewhere. I'll miss them. It definitely was an amazing place!

We visited FAO Schwartz on its the last day, July 15th. It was sad to see all of the children enjoying the store only to realize that its famous doors where Tom Hanks played Chopsticks on the floor piano would be closing for good.

Disappointment. Sad that the flagship store has closed but really, it was past it's prime. Crowded and not magical as I expected.

I was lucky to visit and say Bye to this store on May. There are things I will remember, and I still have some pictures from my childhood there... sitting next to the giant pandas.

The store is closed since last week. Hopefully will re-open soon in another location... Your best other option is now going to Tots'r Us on Time Squares.
