Not as big as in the movies

The New York Stock Exchange is a must see location, although the building seems bigger in the movies. :-)

The building is picture-worthy for its architecture and significance as a financial center. And that's all there is to it. You can't really go in as a visitor, which would have been nice if only to see the drama and chaos that is the stock market.

The NYSE building is not simply a building. It is a symbol of capitalism and the American way of life. In the past, I did business with the NYSE so I was able to eat in the now- closed private dining room and to have a private tour of the floor itself while trading was occurring. I talked with the... It's no longer possible to take a tour inside the NY Stock Exchange for security reasons, so your experience has to be limited to the exterior. I was a little surprised at the unassuming location of such an important institution that seems to be just off Wall Street. The Federal Hall and JP Morgan Building are in the immediate vicinity... Probably not the most impressive building in New York City - this attraction again gets a lot of visitors primarily because of what happens inside and its reputation as the largest stock exchange in the world in terms of market capitalization. Unfortunately no more public tours are offered due to security reasons. If you are really keen on how financial... More

Very worthwhile to have a walking tour around the New York Stock Exchange. Learnt about the history of the surrounding buildings and also had the chance to play a stock exchange game. Some interesting buildings to look at both old and new.

You can't go in the building you can get a picture outside with the flag. This area is totally PACKED full of people . If you are in front of the building best photo shot is to stand on the bench and have someone take a photo of you. Federal hall is right next door and a great location to... More

We stopped by just to see the building, but that's about all you're going to get is a view. You can't go inside, and even the building itself is nothing great. It's a symbol of American capitalism, that's about all. I would skip it next time I visit.

there are lots of things to consider before visiting this place. 1. Not allowed inside. 2. you cannot good photos as its packaged with high rises and you cant get exact front face of the building 3. crowded. 4. you need to walk from bowling green subway station or there some other station. (little walk is required not toooo long)
