We didn't see all of it or visit the planetarium. Rather cheekily they took our entrance money and closed the museum 45 mins later without any prior notice. Architecturally stunning and some interesting exhibits plus a probably temporary exhibition of digitised moon landing photos which...More

This place has been on our To Do list for a long time, and should have stayed there. The ticket kiosks are frustrating, the signage throughout the building is horrendous, the only coat check is on the Lower Level, and is so poorly set up...More

I have always been fascinated with NASA and space so when my husband suggested we go here for my birthday, I happily agreed. We paid $33 each for what was the most unorganized and unrepresented “space museum” I have ever seen. How it gets 4.5...More

Like most things in NY it's a bit pricey but the planetarium show narrated by Neil De-Grasse-Tyson was excellent. Worth visiting.

There is so much to see at the Museum of Natural History. One is the Hayden Planetarium located in the Rose Center for Earth and Space. One MUST visit/see the planetarium show. The Rose Center without the planetarium would be rated just so-so.

I visited the old planetarium as a youngster , teenager. Young adult, father and finally grandfather but the new one. The rose center is miles ahead. I have seen opera here and been to a party. This place has everyone in awe. Great place to...More

Beautiful artwork/photography at the Space Centre, located inside the Natural History Museum. The negative would be that I wish there was more substance to the Space Centre. There just weren't enough exhibits, it was more like a Space Room then a Centre, we were expecting...More

The Rose Center is part of the American Museum of Natural History, containing all of its collection and information from space. Of course, the Hayden Planetarium is the star here, and is worth the additional fee. (Not with CityPASS, though)

Visited September 2013. This place is pretty big to see in just few hours. There's a lot of walking and reading. We didn't see half of the centre. The architecture of the building is pretty neat too. Suggestion is to wear comfortable shoes especially if...More
