The best part about NYC!!

It was my first trip to NYC and the first place that I went to was Times Square! You should definitely get a picture clicked on the red stairs!

I had driven through this area during the day and it was impressive. But, walking through at night was AMAZING! This is really one of those bucket list items.........the feel of this city is right in the middle of Times Square.

Another typical "must see" of NYC. Nice to sit in the stair case and watch the people go by, and at night take in the impression of the huge neon-signs. However, being a typical tourist attraction this is a very crowded attraction. Would guess locals try to avvoid this place.

As usual, Times Square feels crowded, bright, and a bit grimy. If you have never been, you should walk through, but be prepared to be solicited by every kind of tourist trap there is.

Pushing my way through thousands of people is not my idea of a good time, but judging by the amount of people in Times Square, thousands of people don't agree. Obviously people find this an exciting place to visit but it's not for me!

Absolutely amazing and the busiest place to start with, times square never sleeps - you come in the broad day light or at mid night - there is a similar set of crowd and mad going shops with sparkling flashy lights everywhere.. This is the place of endless shopping and entertainment, there are comedy shows arena, Broadway dance shows, museums,... More

One of the most energetic places in the world. You will never know what you will see. One of the most visual exciting places in the world with all the signage, people watching and activities. Great place to visit any time of the day or night. Beautiful when it snows, crowded before/after Broadway shows and always entertaining. A must visit... More

What's to be said. This is the center of bustling Manhattan and a unique place the world over. Nothing screams American extravagance and hustle and bustle quite like this small square. It is impressive and the spectacle will stop you in your tracks to take it all in.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
