I LOVED Times Square. Every time we walked past or through it I found it so impressive. So bright and the atmosphere is buzzing. Watch out for the characters dressed up, the offer a photo and then want paying.

Last day in Times Square today.. had a great week. Times Square is extremely busy, tall buildings, lights, bill boards theatres and endless eateries..

We stayed near Times Square and got up early the first day and headed straight to the middle - it did not disappoint! The lights even seem so bright in the day time! Plus it was so quiet so worth it.

The plasma billboard are big and beautiful, the traffic noise mixed with music is a cacophony of sound and finally the food carts have everything from wonton soup to roasted chestnuts....More
We went to the square quite a lot as our hotel was just around the corner, it can get very busy, there is lots going on and it's great just to see all the lights. This area is well policed and I felt very safe.

taking the train from any metro North station is the smart option through 1am price wise. tolls are more than $15 plus parking a minimum $28 for 12 hours, not to mention gas. You can rest in the train as well. hopefully... More
