We stayed nearby and it was awesome to wander around Times Square. It is so busy and you have to watch out for pick pockets. But it was a great experience.

An extremely busy interchange full of tourists Add to that loads of touts hunting for your money then you know you're in New York Saying that, if you've never been here before, you have to do it once.

It's loud, congested and crazy but you have to go if visiting NYC. It's a people watchers paradise and you must go at night. Be careful of your valuables as there are pick pockets working the crowd. Good places to eat, drink and shop but...More

If you don't like crowds...beware! Times Square is always packed with people. Even so, it was a great place to take in the surrounding sights and people watch. Be careful of pick pockets as people are literally pushed up against you sometimes. A must see...More

This is a amazingly busy square! Wall-to-wall people, most taking pictures. You go there to see the huge electronic advertising monitors and take pictures. Within a square mile of this place are very famous landmarks and lots of places to eat.

The lights on the buildings in Times Square provide so much light at night you can easily read your travel guide. A bleacher-like structure permits people to walk up and see over the throngs of people to get good views and pictures of the area,

You can't visit New York and not see Times Square but be prepared for the crowds and assault on your senses. It's colourful vibrant and hectic and personally I can only take small doses. Always a relief to find somewhere quieter. Beware the hustlers because...More

Get a ticket for a hop-on hop-off bus tour and you’ll see all of the important stuff in one day (two’s better). Lots to do and plenty of places to eat.
