Neighbourhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

I went with the Ambassador travel club in Indianapolis where I've been living for several decades now but originally I'm from Queens, NY. My mom used to take my sister and me to Radio City when we were kids. As an adult, I worked across the street and was given free tickets for the show by my employer. It's always been a special treat to see the show, the moving orchestra, the grand staircase, the hidden organ player, and especially the Rocketts. As kids, we'd see a movie and a show. Every employee there treated me with efficiency and speed. On this trip I offered a tip to the young woman directing lines in the ladies room but she said they weren't allowed to accept tips. Every attendant, server, motorcoach driver with our group, maid, waiter, etc. I encountered in NY made me proud. Keep up the great work people - you're the best!

We came to see the Rockettes show during our New Year's Eve stay in New York. The show was incredible, the Rockettes dance together with millimetered precision. The staging was perfect and the management of the event almost as much in a very nice room. We had a great evening at Radio City Music Hall and we took a lot of eyes.

We just visited the lights and it was so worth it. The decorations at Christmas time are so pretty. It is also much less crowded than Rockefeller center and 5th ave. A must see if going during Christmas time.

Radio city hall beautiful from the outside and beautiful inside. Christmas show to see for both adults and children. We have been twice over Christmas in New York and twice seen the Rockettes show. Wonderful flats, top a perfect synchronization.
Show recommended.

Seeing the Rockettes performance here is absolutely outstanding! This is definitely something everyone needs to do! Our seats were the best in house if you as me. Row A 501 and 502. This is such a stunning venue. The bathroom line was horrific. Arrive early to check in and go to the bathroom.

We went to see Jon Baptiste at Radio City Music Hall. The sound was wonderful. Jon Baptiste was wonderful. I just wish we had set up closer. I didn't realize how large this hall is. There are over 6,000 seats. This was not a tour.

Attended the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes at this venue and this is by far the worst venue I have ever been to for logistical management. We ended up missing the first 20 minutes of the 90 minute show because of the venue's sheer incompetence of managing crowds.

The show started at 6pm and, the night we attended, there were still more than 200 people outside the venue at 6pm waiting to pass through the ridiculously slow security lines. And we arrived with plenty of time to spare (>35 mins). People were still walking into the show more than 30 minutes late.

This is also the only venue I have ever been to that made me throw away water (yes, water) before being allowed to enter. I get not being allowed to bring in outside food or beverages but not being allowed to bring in bottled water is beyond looney. And, of course, I then didn't have time to fill my bottle up or buy a bottle once inside because the venue failed to get me in on time and I had already missed a good chunk of the show and I didn't want to miss anymore.

The venue is a music hall... it's sole job is to put on shows for people to watch and enjoy... you would think they would be experts at ensuring they get everybody in on time to watch the entirety of their show.

The venue itself is lovely though but stay away and book a show in a venue that's more competent.

Complete incompetence at crowd management, missed part of show

This NYC theatre is situated in the heart of the entertainment neighborhood and is the home of world-famous performances such as the Rockettes. It's gorgeously decorated - you can really feel the history of previous and ongoing shows that've performed on this storied stage. The space is humongous; it looked like it could seat thousands of people. We came here to see the Rockettes and could've just enjoyed wandering through the building.

I'll add that getting through security here was a bit stressful, as the security guards were extra vigilant and kept barking orders at everyone. (I understand the necessity of herding thousands of people through the lines, but it felt like airport security.)

We have seen the Rockettes two years in a row. While the show was the same, so was the entertainment. We thoroughly enjoyed the performance. It just brings a smile to my 17-year old daughter’s face. She loves dance and this show brings it all. It certainly hits the Christmas theme all out.

While the amount of people circling to get into the building for each performance can seem daunting, we arrived about 30 minutes early and got in with plenty of time. In fact, we were some of the first to our seats. (There are lots of concessions/souvenir stands and the theatre itself is quite stunning.).

What can I say? You will not believe your eyes if you can get into this showplace! It is only open for special events and concerts, but when it opened in the depths of the Great Depression in 1932, you could see a movie and a great stage show for like 50 cents!! The architecture inside is breathtaking, starting with the palaital main lobby. Inside the 6000 seat auditorium are an orchestra section and three balconies. The acoustics are fantastic! The lighting can gradually change from neutral to red, yellow, green, blue, whatever. There are also tours of the place when no shows are playing, most often during the daytime. They are also terrific.
