This is the second food walking tour I have taken with this company and both times have been fabulous. Darryl was our guide and he was very entertaining and informative. I had no idea what the Market was about other than they offered food for sale. The aromas were incredible as we walked around. The food samples were delicious and... More

This Food Tour was recommended to us by friends and we really enjoyed it. It was really interesting listening to our guide Joanne who made the whole experience fun and informative. The quality of the food was a real treat so do not eat before hand.

Doran was our very capable, knowledgeable and over the top friendly guide. He had a great balance of pace, food and bits of interesting history. It didn't hurt that the day's weather was absolutely perfect. We stopped at so many interesting family restaurants and never had to wait or feel unwelcome. We had time to enjoy each stop and the... My girlfriends and I did two food tours last week-the original Greenwich Village tour and the Chelsea Market tour. Both were outstanding!! Loved walking through the Village and ALL the food was incredible. Marie was our guide and she was both knowledgeable and so much fun. Plus, she knows everyone! We had the BEST time on our Chelsea Market tour! Our tour guide, Darrell, really made the tour! Great sense of humor and excellent commentary! The food was fantastic - donuts, gelato, frittatas, Italian sandwiches, and more. The market itself was so awesome that we stayed after the tour to shop. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour, and ask for... More

This tour is not to be missed! Our tour guide, Jordan, highlighted historical aspects of of the food purveyors . As a pastry chef, he was well-versed in describing the foods we were sampling and the ingredients used and from where they were sourced. While it is a walking food tour there was plenty of history of the surrounding Greenwich... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
