On a day when the weather is good what a location, looking into the River Hudson and the board, wonderful. We did not eat as the menu had a significantly reduced selection, possibly due to the great weather on Monday 14th October. We have visited a number of restaurants, diners and attractions in NYC, this one where the staff on entry seriously disappointed, we watched and saw others treated in a similarly poor manner; customers, in my opinion, are key, not an inconvenience to the staff at point of entry.

After an ambitious bike ride around Central Park, we all decided to stop here for lunch. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the incredible view of the Hudson. I enjoyed my avacado toast; others had the nachos and burgers. Service was accommodating and they let us hang out casually long after our meal was over.

This review doesn't even deserve 1 star... I had my family from out of town come in and visit and wanted to bring them out to dinner. Unfortunately, the night was quite horrible due to the service we had at the Boat Basin. I am a native New Yorker and I am a frequent customer at the Boat Basin and I have never had such a horrible dining experience in my life. Our server tried to work with us and then he just called it quits and became extremely rude and unpleasant. We placed our order with him and then we changed our mind on our shared order and he messed up the order and brought out two sides of French fries (which both cost $7+ each) ontop of our over priced shrimp taco (Which I am not sure how a frozen shrimp taco can be priced at $25 an order), but anyway, we had called him over to inform him that we received two extra orders of fries, which we never requested and he then said he would take them off the bill and he walked away. Five minutes later he came over and abruptly took the fries off of the table and threw them out in front of us. I have never been so taken aback by such horrible waiter service in my life. I can confidently say that I will never be back to dine with Boat Basin and I plan on informing my friends and local family about my horrible experience. I'm disappointed by how my night ended and the horrible service that started our night. I thought after the new ownership this place would finally be the local restaurant that I thought it could live up to, but sadly this place is worse than it was before.

Had an industry outing here. Excellent catering set-up and plenty of space to move around. Cool views of Hudson River

Found this place because we were docked at the marina right across the bicycle path on the Hudson river. Although it doesn’t open until noon and serve food until shortly there after we had good service and food was good. Full bar with a variety of beers wine and spirits. After sunset it got much busier and livelier and nightclub like than I would have expected, but in a good way. Fairly young crowd which also surprised me. Yes in the area I recommend a stop.
