Amazing. Well worth seeing
Dec. 2019
We had visited New York three times before, but only recently discovered the delacorte clock when watching the movie A Rainy day in New York. We set out to find it and were lucky enough to arrive at 7 minutes to noon. After a short wait the monkeys on the top started chiming the upper bell. Soon after that the remaining bells started and there was a parade of animals around the top of the tower.
To find the clock tower head for the zoo. It’s right beside it. Definitely worth seeing.

Nice unexpected musical surprise
Dec. 2019 • Family
We were lucky to walk out from the zoo a few minutes before 3:00 p. m. So upon heading north we stomp into the whimsical George Delacorte clock, where a band of bronze animals was playing Christmas tunes.
The George Delacorte Musical Clock plays tuned every day between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, on the hour and half-hour.

Amazing clock!!!
Oct. 2019
Amazing clock outside of the Central Park Zoo. You don't need to enter the zoo to see the clock. It moves around every half hour and it's a really neat thing to watch if you have time. Get your cameras and cell phone videos ready to watch the animals move and turn around the clock.

So sweet - worth waiting to hear the long chime
Feb. 2019 • Family
This clock is near the Children's Zoo. It's worth waiting around to hear the long time at the of the hour between 8:00 am-6:00 pm. It's adorable - the chiming, music and seeing the animals rotate for 3-4 minutes.

Magical musical experience in Central Park
Dec. 2016 • Couples
I've been enchanted by this moving musical sculpture ever since I was a child visiting from Ohio - even willing to wait another half hour (an eternity in "child time") to hear it play again. Now that I live in the New York area this is one of the "must see" sites that I share with visiting friends (young and old), regardless of the season or weather.

While the clock, itself, is on view at any time that the park is open (officially 6am to 1am), the musical performances only occur between 8am and 6pm, with the songs on the half hour being shorter. I recommend treating yourself to one of the longer "top of the hour" songs (and your guests may well choose to wait another half hour to experience it again).
