First food tour for me that works if you want to see some sights and sample different foods in these areas. Went with adult family member. Our guide was Laurie who has some great info about all the spots we visited. Echo all the other higher-rated reviews. Best for those who don't wish to walk s lot especially in less... More

We had an informative and quality food tour of Brooklyn with this group. The guide knew the territory well, had great stories back to the Revolution, and choose an interesting mix of food choices. Each one was enjoyable and of high quality. Driving around the East Village and Brooklyn can't be easy, but the driver made it seem so. We'd... More

Entertainment, conversation, fun and food ! What's not to love. Several interesting stops with great interaction in between stops. Laurie was a gem who enjoys her job and shows it. She keeps track of everyone and makes sure she includes everyone in conversation. You will enjoy the mix of food and a look at "old" NYC with a mix of... More

Best Brooklyn Half Day Food and Culture Tour. This tour is a must for those who want to see parts of lower Manhattan, Brooklyn and more. It's a narrative and food tour of lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. Laurie is knowledgeable and a licensed tour guide in both boroughs. She brought together a tour of strangers and was friendly, fun and... More

We attended the Brooklyn half-day food and culture tour with Laurie as our guide, and she was very informative and entertaining! We never realized that Brooklyn had so much to offer: not only some great food, but really interesting suburbs and generally much more relaxed than Manhattan. Thanks to this tour we are inspired to explore Brooklyn on our next... More

Probably the best 1/2 - day tour we have done. Yes it was fun! We were taken to places we would never have found, the food locations were first class, and the guide interacted with all passengers really well. I would recommend this to any one of any age group.

Laurie and Isaac were great tour guides. Fun and knowledgeable. Loved every stop. We are from NJ but it was great to learn more about Brooklyn. My 12 year old had a lot of fun

Both bus driver Vinnie and guide Rick were super informative and friendly. Definitely a highlight of a week of NYC touring. Lots of great food and explanation of changing brooklyn history and neighborhoods. my only suggestion would be to park the bus a little farther from each stop so folks could walk more in the neighborhoods and absorb them.

We went May 23rd 2016 11AM tour. I believe Rick was the guide. Sorry I forget names...he was amazing, fun and told great stories. We ate at places I never would have entered. From the polish place to the pizza place, I could not believe how much food we ate. Variety is an understatement. I would recommend this tour.

We had a great time on the tour. Our tour guide Lori was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to visit with everyone on the tour, and remembered all of our names which I thought was impressive. It was on one of the hottest days of the summer (July 22/16) and we were very happy that it was... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
