We wanted to see a family oriented show when we visited NYC last month and so opted for Jersey Boys. I mean, how much could be wrong with that kind of story line? Sadly, plenty. I read reviews before buying our tickets, but we were...More
We were a bit surprised it was not the same as the Broadway version (which was our fault for not researching it better). Since I had seen the traveling show in a bigger theater, it was a little disappointing. It started off slowly and then...More
Being a fan of the actual group is of course a pre-requisite to enjoy this nice show.
The theater complex is very modern and comfortable
The show as such is packed with the most famous songs of the group and the performances are top notch...More
We enjoyed the show very much. The whole production was faultless. It's amazing to find out how many of the songs you will know once the show gets going. We were singing for hours after we left. Very enjoyable evening.
This show was outstanding. Such a group of talented performers. We were totally entranced from the start and were so dissappointed when it ended to a boisterous standing ovation from the audience. The band kept playing when the performers left the stage and some of...More
Jersey Boys at the New World Stages is a must see for off Broadway. The venue is great, I don't believe there can be a bad seat in the house. The cast are very talented make the entire show a great experience!
Husband and I saw the show this evening. I've been a massive Frankie Valli and the four seasons fan since I was 15 years old so this was a great 30th birthday present for our visit to New York. And I loved every minute. Great...More
My 14 year old begged me for the past 2 years to take her to see Jersey Boys and she has consistently made the honor roll so I decided to take her. The show was really good and she was surprised how many songs I...More
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the
affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
We waited until we arrived. It was available at a 40% discount at TKTS every day we were there but the lines were atrocious. We walked right to the theater and bought tickets over the counter which was simple because they... More
We waited until we arrived. It was available at a 40% discount at TKTS every day we were there but the lines were atrocious. We walked right to the theater and bought tickets over the counter which was simple because they showed us a map of available seats.
As mentioned by a few others, the place is much smaller than you might expect. It would be tough to get a bad seat. We sat in the last row of the lower section and had a fantastic view. The next night we sat in the 1st row of the upper deck for Book of Mormon (not worth the $$) and had a great view there as well.
