Maybe it’s just me but I wasn’t all that impressed by Frozen on Broadway. It was also the understudy cast (some of them) that performed last night. Not to suggest that they weren’t good but I wasn’t moved by their rendition of Let It Go.
The 2nd part, post-intermission, was much more interesting and engaging than the 1st half.
I’d rate it 6.5 or maybe 7/10. If it’s a cheap ticket it’d be worth your while but I wouldn’t spend a significant amount given what I’d seen, even with the hologram effects.

I have two girls who grew up watching Frozen on repeat. They desperately wanted to see the musical on Broadway, but I wasn’t sure. I’ve heard the movie songs so many times, I can sing them in my sleep! I didn’t know what to expect from the Broadway musical...
The musical was amazing! Production value, quality of performance and seamless integration of new music with the movie classics made it a great experience for our entire family. The show feels fresh and highly polished. In classic Disney fashion, the production has something for everyone in the family, with adult humour embedded within the Frozen storyline. The start of the second half, at Wandering Oaken’s, was our favourite moment.

This was BIT what you think. Please go and see for yourself. No spoilers here. The children who play the younger adults are in need of special mention. Please go, see and let your children aspire to be ‘Broadway Rats ‘

Not great for kids under 10 in my opinion. Too long, too loud, sensory overload, and a few inappropriate parts. My 7 year old niece was squirming in her seat before we even got to intermission. I saw that many people brought little kids, and there was a lot of restlessness in the audience for this 2.5 show, including the scared and crying toddler seated behind me. Also, some of the dances were suggestive or inappropriate for a very young audience, including a scene where dancers were tight nude bodysuits to simulate they were naked dancing with branches trying to cover themselves - a scene not in the Frozen movie and completely unnecessary for the musical. In our family, a 75 year old grandma was also there, she left confused what she saw and an impression that it was too loud.

‘Stunning’ is the only way to describe this superb Broadway show!
Our family Christmas was spent in New York this year and it was wonderful.
One of the most memorable experiences was our Christmas Eve treat to see ‘Frozen’.
We were three generations and the show had us all spellbound.
The effects were truly magical, we loved it,

This play was so well conducted, so magical in effects, so beautiful! I loved it. ELSA CAN SINGGGG. All the characters were well played and the story was so well brought to life. Would definitely see again!! My perfect first Broadway experience. Took my mom and sister for my mom’s birthday!

Ive seen frozen at least 5 times. The actors come and go and normally replaced with great talent. Not this time Elsa was just okay. Normally I’m in aw of her presence. It was just her 3rd show. Hopefully it will get better. They remove songs and added new ones. That was not a good decision.

I was sadly disappointed by the show. Young Anna and Elsa were adorable and did amazing, however the older Anna and Elsa were way too old. Elsa looked nothing like the “Disney” version of Elsa. My daughter looked at me and said “that’s not Elsa”. I am sure there is so much talent and there could have been a better Elsa. Not to be taken the wrong way, but I was a little surprised they chose a black actress to portray a usually pale blond character. I don’t think they would choose a pale character as princess Tiana, so the actress just did not fit the role. Did not like Olaf as a puppet, that was just weird. There wasn’t an ice palace, which I was looking forward too. This was the worst Broadway show I have ever gone to!

This show was a winner in the biggest sense of the word! Beautiful, great effects, the cast was wonderful. I can’t believe I’m saying this, we actually liked it better than the movie. If you loved the movie, I don’t see how you could keep from, at the least, enjoying the play. Be aware, there are a few differences, so if you are a purist, that might bother you. We felt the differences enhanced the story and were fun. An uplifting joy to see!

The set, costumes and actors were all amazing!
A really magical show and even better than I expected!
The theatre itself is really nice and the staff were all friendly!
Lots of people complaining in reviews that the seats are tiny and there isn't enough legroom.....I didn't have a problem at all.
My only tip is get to the toilet as soon as you can during the interval as the queues were very long......I almost missed the beginning of the 2nd half.
A really great show, would definitely recommend!

Hi there, does the cast perform in areas of the audience like in the Lion King Musical?

Where can you get the best deal on tickets? I read a review that someone paid 93.00 a ticket and it included a show book and olof keychain. Where is that deal? Thanks so much

We got our Tickets in November 2019 at the same day two hours before start at TKTS Broadway for 56 Dollar each.
Places were orchestra right side, row O.
So pretty close to the stage with a nice view.
( but i think we were pretty lucky this day, and there was no waiting line at TKTS)

Does anyone know why you can’t buy tickets past November? Is it leaving?

Are seats better on orchestra right or orchestra left? Is the view of the stage obstructed? I am looking at orchestra row D.
Written March 6, 2019
I like the Left... Middle is better, but from what I saw, its better on the left if you need to choose. :)

Hi - Anyone know why mid price stall tickets are not available via Ticketmaster? Also would people recommend Row R in Stalls or Row C in Circle?
Thanks

Travelling from UK what's the cheapest way to get good tickets? Any ideas thanks
Written February 17, 2019
I got mine on Ticketmaster . com. Not cheap as everything is expensive on Broadway but had the lesser charge in terms of admin/booking fee. All levels of tickets were available. It just depends how much you want to pay.
