The Heart of New York

Broadway is vibrant, alive with the pulse of the city. Theaters on every corner. A bit crowded just prior to showtime and when the shows get out. A must see.

The children were so talented and inspiring. The main guy was funny and played his role so well along with all the other characters. Highly recommend this show. I left feeling very happy and impressed.

You cannot come to New York and miss Broadway- one of the main streets in New York with the classic hustle and bustle of tourists and locals combined. Absolutely must see a broadway show, or two!

Such a wonderful city to find entertainment! Saw two shows on the most recent trip and am already ready to return again! Always fun to ask the person sitting next to you what they have discovered about New York City!

Sorry, but my rating of Chicago at the Ambassador is "big disappointment ". The performances and music was good, but guess I am not cultured enough to appreciate absolutely no, I mean zero, stage props or scenery, and zero costume changes. I don't want to have to use my creative imagination that much. Until this experience I have loved every... More

Wasn't what I thought.... Made out to be a big thing but it's a statue in the river. So glad we viewed it from the Stratton ferry.... lots of ticket sellers on way to ferry so careful.... just say no. Stratton island was nice enough for a pint.

Don't pay full price for Broadway tickets - just go to TKTS in Times Square. Sure you'll have to line up but if you want 1/2 price broadway tickets - it's worth it. (The line moves quickly).

If you like neons go to Broadway. If you like the movies go to Broadway, same for theater, hotels, restaurants. Broadway is the heart of the Big Apple. Nothing else is alike. Many visits

At one time the square was a lot of decadent and transgressive fun, but now it is an outdoor mall for people from flyover country.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
