Like a small town within Manhattan, the Village has narrow tree-lined streets and brick townhouses.

Enjoyed a stroll around Greenwich, plenty to see and do. Busy but not the hustle and bustle of Times Square.

We went to Greenwich Village for the Original Food Tour of NYC, which was fabulous, then went back to many of the establishments we had visited on the tour. Greenwich Village is a great place to just walk around. However, the Food Tour is a...More

Lovely to stroll around if you're done with crowds. Lots of ordinary New Yorkers taking time out, on a Sunday there is lots of activity (similar to speakers corner in Hyde Park)

We started our morning at Lafayette for brunch, strolled NYU and Washington Square, and later took in an Independent Feature. Love this area.

Greenwich Village needs to walked around at leisure. We chose a rainy Sunday. New Yorkers love to brunch so cafe's get pretty crowded and they don't take reservations. We happened upon Buvette a stunning french cafe with long lines and great food and wine. We...More

Great place to go at dusk. Lots of performers out, musicians, painters, etc. Great for people watching and just enjoying the city. Plenty of spots to sit for a while.

Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.
