Walk and drinks

There are plenty of nice little restaurants to stop in have a drink, eat, or get dessert. A lot of rich Italian tradition. Mulberry Street was the place to go.

My husband and I go to New York once a year for our Anniversary. We always stop in Little Italy for one meal. Over the years, it's getting more run down, but they still have FANTASTIC and AUTHENTIC Italian food! Highly recommend putting this on your itenary!

Loved walking by and passing through the various murals that pass through Nolita. There are amazing restaurants of all types. There is an amazing atmosphere and definitely worth a trip.

Little Italy is charming and a must visit for authentic Italian food. Souvenirs are also more affordable in this area than in Uptown NY.

Little Italy is old New York. Looking up reminds one of a scene form West Side Story with the fire escape clad tenements. Unfortunately Little Italy is shrinking as folks move out to Long Island or New Jersey. If you come enjoy it while it is still here.

Loads of places to eat, drink and pick up some souvenirs. Had some amazing food there. Would recommend to anyone, go and have a walk round. The only thing that is slightly annoying was the people standing outside the restaurants trying to get you in.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
