Our junior high tour group had the opportunity to see NY Harbor, the Statue of Liberty, and the bridges by sail boat. What an awesome experience! We had beautiful weather, so that certainly helped, but the crew was great - very personable.

Lovely harbour cruise on schooner yacht under sail. Sails close to Liberty Island for great pictures of the Statue. Great way to spend a sunny afternoon.

We went on a pretty unfortunate day. The winds were high so we were expecting a choppy day. On arrival we found the boat and saw there was a good few people milling around. We expected that it would be that a few were waiting for a different tour but unfortunately not. When we got on the boat there was... More

This was one of my favorite activities in NYC. Even with a threat of rain, we had a great time. We sat up near the front of the boat, close to the coolers. Alcohol is available as well as soda and water. The staff was friendly. I love watching them raise and lower the sails. We got a lot of... More

Fantastic nightime experience in NY harbour. Very friendly crew and a quiet relaxing sail with very fed other boats around to spoil the intimate mood.

We did the Shearwater Classic Schooner last week (29th May) and took the daytime statue sail. The weather was scorching so the breeze once on the boat was great. The trip itself was excellent and very relaxing and the views as we sailed along the Hudson River were superb. Drinks can be purchased on board during the trip which lasted... More

The Sunday Brunch sail was an absolute delight. Heading out of North Cove toward the Statue of Liberty you see the skyline, Lady Liberty up close (!), Ellis Island, the New Jersey skyline, and the experience of quiet sailing as opposed to the noise of the city. This is not a guided tour, but the Shearwater folks are happy to... More

As a part of my anniversary present, my wife allowed me to schedule this sailing cruise of New York harbor and the Statue of Liberty. She even wound up enjoying the cruise (even though it was a bit brisk out on the water. ;-) To start with, the Shearwater sails from the North Cove Marina, which can be accessed by... More

When we moved to NY, my team had bought us a trip with Shearwater that was a wine-tasting on the Hudson river. The weather could not have been better, it was a warm and sunny day, quite windy but we were on the water. We sampled about 6 wines, including a sparkling one and there was also some food on-board,... More

We went for a Sunday brunch. They say it holds 48. There were 40 people on a sailboat and not enough room to sit. The food was plentiful and fresh. The day and my family made it special. The staff were very nice.
