This place needs a major upgrade and expansion as well as more consistent service but the benefit of a respite from the noise and crowds of Penn Station still has some value. At the very least they can get new furniture.

The atmosphere was not what I had in mind at the Acela Lounge at Penn Station on 7/24/17. It definitely needs major updates and services for us first class passengers. Definitely needs more amenities, drinks and food while we wait for our trains, and the...More

Dark, dreary. It at least it is away from the crowds. The "snacks" were individual bags of Goldfish, some can sodas and coffee. This was my first time taking the Acela Express and picked first class. I asked the miserable person at the desk when...More

I'm disappointed at the general decline in First Class service quality on the Acela, but this particular part of the Acela First Class experience has always been dreadful. This "lounge" is a disgrace to Amtrak. Dark, seemingly always overflowing (last time I was there it...More

Had a first class ticket and one of amenities that comes with it is access to the club Acela with one being located at Penn. It's a great place to sit and wait for your train and is away from the loud noise, people etc...More

The Club Acela Lounge is place to get away from the crazy atmosphere that is Penn Station. Yes the place is run down, the decor outdated, but you won't be spending much time in the place anyway. After checking in at the desk, ask the...More

I travelled alone with my 11 and 12 year old daughters out of Penn Station on the Acela Express, First Class seating, traveling to Boson from New York. I was nervous about loading in Penn Station (along with all of our luggage), so I booked...More

Always mean, and short. Always saying it's too busy. Must be nice to have a subsidized government pension with no performance criteria. I literally hate going in there.
