The whole experience - ferry ride, Museum, views of Manhattan - is really special. When the weather is nice (and seagulls notwithstanding), there is a lovely picnic area outside the cafe.

The museum is really fascinating. So much history, so much meaning, so well preserved. There's so much to see and unfortunately, we were on a schedule and missed a lot of it.

Beautiful building full of history, lots of information and exhibits to see and read. Upstairs hall is beautiful, lovely grounds, plenty of seating areas outside. The view back to lower Manhattan is Wow

I'm sorry. I just saw this. I bought my tickets a few days in advance during the off season, so it was pretty easy for me!
