The Charging Bull, on Wall Street is an obvious symbol of the financial significance of this district on Wall street. Many admirers flock to take a close look..... Interesting! It's on the pavement and it's there for all to see, for free.

There is a huge statue of a bull in the Financial District. I was intrigued to check it out on my visit to New York City. I visited in October 2023 and the statue is quite easy to find. It's not far from the Stock Exchange and not too far from Battery Park. When I was there the area was buzzing and there were two queues of people waiting to get their picture taken with the bull. Some lining up to be photographed with the head and some in the opposite direction to get their picture taken with the rear. Intriguing....

The statue is as advertised. A symbol of the U.S. financial sector and the markets. Just know that when you go there will be a long line queued of people waiting to take pics. Statue is quite sturdy. It's a 5-minute walk to the NY Stock Exchange, about a 10-minute walk to the 9/11 Memorial, and about 2-3 mins from Battery Park.

The Wall Street Bull or Charging Bull is a symbol of Wall Street and the New York financial industry. I would certainly not make a special trip to see it but if you are nearby in Lower Manhattan, it makes for a good photo stop. Beware there will be a long queue waiting to get a photo with the bull. Best to just snap one and move on to more interesting things.

The bull is iconic and just a fun place to stop while touring the Wall Street area. There was a line for photos but it went quickly and gave everyone an opportunity to have a photo without other people in it. Great photo op!

The Charging Bull sculpture has taken on so many meanings over the years. The excess of the 1980's, the greed of Wall Street, a struggling and a successful economy and success. Whatever you want it to mean, it is a part of the New York fabric and a must see when visiting downtown Manhattan. Get to the sculpture early for a good picture because it gets crowded especially during the summer and on weekends.

I stopped by here on my way to Fraunces Tavern. Found about a hundred tourists in line to take a photo with the bull. Not sure how this bull became so popular? I was happy to see it but not willing to stand in line for a photo. Took my photo from the side. Ha!

It was good to see the Bull and it’s always nice to see statues, but watching people take part in the tradition of rubbing its balls is very strange. The statue of the bull also has its ribs showing so it’s quite sad that it doesn’t look healthy. I may be biased but I much prefer the statue of the bull in Birmingham!

A visit to the Wall Street Bull is a must for anyone visiting New York City for the first time. I was surprised by the well-organized lines of people waiting to take photos—whether it’s from the back, touching the bull’s famous “attributes,” or from the front, hugging its massive head. Despite the crowds, everything moved smoothly, allowing everyone to get their iconic photo. Additionally, we found some of the best street vendors nearby, offering reasonably priced New York-themed souvenirs and gadgets. I definitely recommend making a quick stop here, not just for the photo opportunity but also for some great souvenir shopping!

I walked past it by chance an got curious because of the huge queue that had formed there. Pleople were waiting orderly for abot 20 mins for their turn to take a selfie with the bull. I found it not worth waiting and walked on.
