If you are like me and hate the sound of other people's conversation, then this is the place for you. No IPA's, BONUS I hate those too!! I had a really fresh Belgian With on tap and it was delicious. Perfect Meeting spot in the...More

Interesting little beer bar in the Village. Interesting selection of beers on tap Typical NY prices. Worth a stop. Interesting artwork on walls.

This is an authentic Belgian style beer house. Great Belgian beers and a romantic atmosphere - I'd tell you more but sssssshhhhhhh

A rather interesting interior - rather small and intimate - quite calm. The bar stools were rickety, but the beer selection was unusual and delicious. It is worth a stop!

Possibly the only bar in NY where you aren't competing with the table next to you to hear your friends. The Bartenders will shush if it gets too loud and everyone magically tones it down a notch which makes for a nice reprise from the...More

This is a small bar with a lot of character. They have a great cocktail and beer list - I had some kind of Belgian IPA which I really like. It has a laid back vibe, when it gets too loud the bar tender whispers...More

Just called in after an evening in the East Village. Enjoyed a couple of beers in the dark, candle light. Great murals. My boyfriend heard the barman shhhhhh and I didn't believe him (fuzzy headed from a couple of beers) but read the reviews and...More

My fiance was adamant about going here, and as soon as we entered, he said, "I'm sorry." Boring atmosphere, where you're just waiting for the bartender to "shush" the place. Don't expect to get any food, even bar food here. The kicker was how miserable...More

There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village,
which offers plenty of unique small businesses
catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college
students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the
old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still
experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned
shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of
the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to
