We had a great time on the rock around the block tour, even during a sweltering hot NYC summer day. Bob's personal connection not only to the areas we toured, but also to the people and the time period made it a great experience. I would recommend this to any music fan looking to learn a little bit more about... More

This was a birthday present from my wife. It was great. Bob gives you a ton of information and history about the beginnings of folk rolk & the explosion of electric rock in Greeniwch Village. Bob worked in the industry for years and has scores of interesting / relevant personal encounters with many, many rock legends. The walking is not... More

We had a great time with Bob Sarlin on the Greenwich Village tour. Bob was friendly and knowledgable. He grew up in the neighborhood, and it's amazing how many of rock's important events he witnessed firsthand. He didn't rush us on the tour, and was receptive to our commments and questions. He even added some non-rock landmarks and stories into... More

While I like to listen to rock, I don't know so much about the lives of musicians who's work I appreciate. So, I went on Bob's Greenwich Village Tour to get a sense of what their lives are/were like. On the tour, I learned about a number of musicians as well as the people in the business of music. Bob... More

We took a tour with my family of the Village, and Bob was incredible. How often do guides actually have personal relationships with major music icons? From the moment our tour began, we were showered with stories, insights and Bob pointed out sites that, as born and raised New Yorkers we had no idea had so much history. Tghe personal... More

As a native NYer who came of age in the late 60s and 70s, I thought I knew so much about Greenwich Village's rock history. Yeah, I knew a bunch but Bob not only knows it ALL, he LIVED much of it. From his residency in Bob Dylan's first NYC apartment (NOT with Dylan!) to his claim of being one... More

My family and I took my dad on this tour for father's day, and I can't say enough good things. Bob took us around for several hours and never checked his watch once, and never seemed to be in a hurry. He only seemed interested in telling us everything we wanted to know about rock and roll in Greenwich Village.... More

We decided to take the tour and get a feel for the area. Bob is a great guide and a nice person. My wife and I and two adult children arent really Dylan fans so the tour wasnt what we hoped it would be. Having said that Bob was great nd even bought us an egg cream (which doesn't have... More
