This is NO LONGER the Century 21 you've hear about. They did close and remodel, now they are unrecognizable. It is more of an off the rack sports clothing store. Brands that are obscure, staff that is withdrawn and uncaring and no deals to be found. I was simply going to purchase a scarf and leather gloves (a staple of the old store), a few pin point oxford shirts and there were none to be found, not even a decent men's overcoat anywhere.
Don't go, don't disappoint yourself.

Everything is extremely overpriced. Certainly is not the old Century 21 prior to Covid. Very disappointing. Not worth making the trip there.

Being a C21 customer for many years, I was very disappointed when I went there after reopening. The merchandise was a joke and the prices were ridiculously high. I never wanted to go back again. Now, 10 months later, I decided to give it one more try and see if there are any changes. Being a guy, I went straight to men’s department on 3rd floor. To my surprise I found more merchandise, especially my favorite European designers, which I didn’t see last time, good selection and the prices were pretty close to what they used to be, perhaps $5-10 more. The dressing rooms were very nice, spacious and well lit, a big improvement! I ended up with 4 items from Italian brands that I liked. To my surprise 2 out of 4 pieces were from current Spring 2024 collection, which is amazing! Usually it’s a collection from a year or two ago. So, I hope the trend continues and the store gets more designer names and brands and keep the prices low. So, there’s hope for new C21NYC !

I remember hitting Century 21 back in 90s and it’s just not the same! Lots of clothes that obviously struggled to sell originally.

I may be set in my ways now with what I want. But my teen son loved it and even found the Purple Brand jeans and was very excited to get a fee pairs.

Century 21 is on it's way back. What I mean is that yest they reopened Summer 2023, but they were not fully stocked.

As of December 2023 they seem to be about 65 to 70% back. The caveats are that there are no more housewares and the store size is greatly reduced. Less space clearly means less inventory too.

But... from what I have seen and from speaking with a couple of people who work there, it is a work in progress. One fellow told me that Century 21 basically sells overstocks and given the pandemic and China being shut for a year, things are slowly starting to roll in.

When I was there this summer, at first blush it seemed like a better organized TJ Maxx. Bright and colorful trendy fast fashion, some from labels I have heard of. That apparently was just so they had a store full of merchandise.

Currently, they are starting to get ties again, which they did not have this summer and their suit selections are starting to build up again too. Their men's shoe collection has also increased up a bit.

They now have tons of Puma, which they didn't have this summer as well as sport shirts and t-shirts someone well over 25 like me would wear.

What I was told is to have patience and come back every month or so. I ha e done that and each visit, I have been there 4 times since the summer, has proven that correct

So, is it the old Century 21? No, not yet but it's well on its way.

Very sad… not what it used to be.the store is empty of visitors and full of high priced Merchandise. Some designer fashion T-Shirts are 300$. Not sure if they are fakes I better buy them in the real branded store for almost the same. The past feeling that you get a deal here is gone….

I used to love Century 21. And so did many of my friends and collegues who work in the downtown Manhattan. I am posting this review with hope that the owners of the store will read it and will make some changes. Century 21 used to be an amazing store with great merchandise. The new store has the merchandise that appeals to a much narrower audience. Shoes are not comfortable in the new store. There are no beautiful dresses for summer time. Jackets are not classy and can't be worn to a professional office. Everything is just off about the new store...

Clearly most of the positive reviews here about the new Century 21 were bought. After 15 yrs of annual wknd trips to NYC with C21 as the shopping highlight, I was DESTROYED to walk in and experience the downfall of what was once something that offered drop-dead deals on unique and fabulous designer finds all wrapped-up in a nostalgic maze of fun and adventure. Now its just another "welcome to the New Order" money gouging shopping mall with nothing special to offer. So disappointed. Big waste of time and a massive let down. SHAME on you Raymong Gindi! You could have made much better choices to save the old Century 21 but you blew it and your father must be rolling over in his grave with what you've done to his legacy. RIP the real Century 21 and may peace be with us all who new and loved it.

. I have shopped lots from this store previously at Corlandt strt. After its reopening this year, I visited on 01Jul23 and was super Disappointed. Pricing average is high. Nowhere close to the previous collections where variety was more and pricing more competitive n attractive to shop.

Missss the old Century 21 variety n pricin :(
