The walking tour of the village was amazing. So much history, (beats and hippies, big influence on my life), all in one place. Our guide Allie was brilliant, her genuine love of the village was obvious and her knowledge of the village was amazing. There was no question she couldn't answer and expand on. Great tour, better guide.

Really enjoyed our tour of the Village with Allie. Informative, whacky and fun! So much to see, made very interesting by Allie who added 'living' information about how life has been in this area for the different generations. Well worth booking this enjoyable tour which was at a ocean that suited our whole group.

We loved Evan's energy, humor, knowledge and his socially conscious perspective. He also had great recommendations for broadway discounts and fine restaurants. We will never just walk unknowingly through the village again without appreciating its history in jazz, the arts, civil rights and the labor movement. G Forman

Very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon, low key, informative and nicely paced. About 15 on it so easy to ask questions etc. Well worth doing. Evan was a great guide.

Ashley our tour guide was excellent. She knew how to pitch the tour to each of us and took the time to get to know everyone in that couple of hours. Her knowledge and experiences were great to listen to and she gave us lots of tips for additional places to visit after the walk had finished.

My brother and me enjoyed the Greenwich tour a lot. Brigid, our tour guide, is the most interesting and happiest person you could wish for. Her amazing knowledge and her funny stories of this Manhatten district made the tour an incredible experience! I once tried exploring Greenwich myself but I never got to the places we've seen in the tour!... More

Led by a young lady guide named Ashley we were treated to a very informative trip around the "Village" I was surprised to find out that many very famous entertainers, artists and musicians had lived in this area and how many of the buildings were still in use today

My daughter and I did the tour guided by Brigid. She was excited and captivated the entire group from the beginning to the end. Many interesting things worth knowing. Unlike a lot of other guides she spoke clearly and distinctly. Brigid ... thanks !!!

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
