I took the subway from downtown to Cloisters, and walked through this park to reach the museum. The area closes to the museum is definitely the best, with its winding pathway and flowers swaying in the wind onto the paths

Very quiet and shaded park along the river. Lots of slopes and flowers plus the river makes the stay here an eerie experience.

The Fort Tryon Park is an off the beaten New York CIty Park. It is green and lush and quiet. Its a beautiful reprieve in NYC.

On our way to and from the Cloisters Museum we traveled through the park. It floral landscaping was so beautiful. On our way back we stopped to take in the sunset. We will certainly return to enjoy the park.

Ft. Lee, NJ, just across the George Washington Bridge, for those with cars. Airbnb in the neighborhood may be a better bet for those without.
