This museum is beautiful with a very unique art collection. Coincidently, I had just watched "The Woman in Gold" on my plane ride from LA to NYC. I had wanted to go to the Neue Galerie based on a trip advisor best things to do...More

This was my second visit to the Neue Galerie. The security is "over the top". My husband had to throw away an unopened Coke and I had to empty my water bottle. A women ahead of us said she was going to check her bag,...More

If you only see the famous golden portrait by Gustav Klimt you’d be happy. But there is so much more here in the permanent display. Masterpieces by Kokoschka Schiele and lots of Klimt make this a special place to visit. Especially as you are seeing...More

Having seen the film "The Woman in Gold" starring Helen Mirren I was curious to see what the painting really looked like and what you get for $135m. It is simply quite spectacular and unique in every sense of the word. This gallery is located...More

Elevating the spirit, the Neue Galerie is a one of a kind specialty museum whose collection appeals to the enlightened. The objects d'art are beautifully conceived by the masters of the WW, an interdisciplinary movement that explored all branches of the Tree of Art.

This is free the first Friday of the month, however the lines were too long and I went Saturday morning. It was well worth EVERY cent to see the woman in gold. She is on permanent display when the gallery is open. I was able...More

There wasn't an Opening in the Galerie, so admission was a donation. Woman in Gold Galerie was upstairs in a relatively small room with multiple portraits. Woman in Gold is star attraction. Much more decorative in person, than can be seen in the film. Luminous...More

A limited gallery but well worth seeing. After watching the movie, had a splendid time seeing the focus of the movie.

When we visited this museum only one room was open to the public but we saw a good selection of fine art including The Woman in Gold and it was amazing!

Vienna is one of our favourite cities, and here is a slice. The building, the art, the cafe. If Klimmt is on your list, you MUST not leave NY without going here - they have Adele, need I say more? Yes - lots of other...More

Walked in straight off the street. Lost our drink bottles and I can say the Woman in Gold was amazing to see but left a little underwhelmed by the none friendly staff and loosing our water. In and out in less than 20 minutes.

We had free passes, but I just checked online and it's $20 or $15 for seniors. It is definitely worth every penny supporting the unique gallery.
