Neighbourhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

A must visit for anyone visiting New York if a sports event is on. I was fortunate enough to get tickets to an NBA match, New York Nicks vs Milwaukee. Ticket master is great for purchasing tickets, and also offers re-sell ticket options which are genuine. You can also purchase tickets on the day at the counters inside the stadium. There are plenty of seats, which are all comfortable and spacious. Price for the ticket is not cheap, around 140 dollars for a single ticket, so be prepared to spend some money, however it was worth it. I had tickets on the second level, and it was close enough to feel the atmosphere and see the match well. The stadium can get busy so I would advise arriving early. There are lots of food and drink venues on site. Overall an amazing visit, the atmosphere and quality of game play is excellent and you will come away hooked on basketball. Would definitely attend a future match.

We were in NYC for a gig at Pier 17 but the opportunity to see ELO on their 'over and out' tour here was too good to miss. Fees online were ridiculous and a lot of resale tickets so we popped into the venue when we arrived and got the cheapest available, £150 for two, side on to the stage, Block 223, up in the 'Gods'. As luck would have it, due to the laser show, we were given different seats on the night, more than twice the value.

Fabulous venue, superb acoustics, amazing light show, spacious seats, this was a proper show and we had a great time. 19, 500 sell out but no issues getting out, the place is enormous, we just took an exit and then found our way back to our hotel which was across the road!!

From buying Out of the Blue in 1977 to seeing Over and Out at the MSG in 2024, I couldn't have been happier.

Thoroughly recommended venue.

Attended the Dave Chappelle x Killer Mike show last week; great view from my 200 level seats. MSG is in prime location directly over the 2, 3 subway line which comes in handy if it's cold or raining outside. Also worth noting parking is free on certain blocks after 7pm.

Venue is iconic and it was a great place to end our trip! Went for a Knicks game which was just amazing - the whole experience of the crowd-cam, singing, T-shirt throwing in to the crowd, the celeb row, etc….. etc… and of course some fantastic basketball!!
The venue itself is good, plenty food and drink stands, plenty toilets and seats were comfy. Getting in took around 20 mins - signs would help if you have a bag as separate queue, but just an observation not an issue.
Would highly recommend a visit, particularly for a Knicks game!!

Watched Knicks V Pistons. Another great game at the garden. Everyone around us had fun.
Regarding the venue I found the member of staff calling people through the security scanner to be extremely condescending. He appeared to be annoying several people with his power crazy attitude. He was calling people through and then shouting at them to go back and wait until he calls them. An embarrassing idiot. Please don’t start what should be a great evening with people like this unwelcoming people in. I would suggest that he’s in the wrong job.

My wife and I watched a Billy Joel
concert here in April 2024. We had to sit in separate places - I sat in the 300 level and my wife sat near the stage. The concert was awesome and Billy Joel sang many of my favorite songs. The view and acoustics were great. Finally near the box office, we saw Billy Joel’s piano. There are only three more Billy Joel concerts left at MSG (May, June, July) so I am glad we got to see it.

We took the guided tour, about 1 hour where the history of the pavilion is reviewed, the boxing fight and Marilyn singing to Kenedy
A multitude of sporting and musical events. Very entertaining
And visiting from the boxes to the track
Impress the number of seats

This is quite the arena. It’s chaotic but somehow organized getting in. We went to two concerts during this trip and both times were quite similar. Despite the crowds drink lines were never very long. Acoustics were good for both shows and one time we were to the left of the stage and another time at the back of the arena, 100 level both times.

We bought tickets to see a Knicks vs. Sacramento basketball game. Madison Square Garden is gigantic! The show and all the side effects of the match are almost more interesting than the match itself. The shop, the huge cups of drinks, the big screen in the center, the interventions during downtime, .... An experience that you have to live once.
