The place is packed with small restaurants and bars. Suggest going to a fish market place where you can find crab, oysters and lobster rolls.

Had amazing tacos at the market, lots of choices for food and drink. But the tacos was my favourite. Try the horchata, and the sauce can be quite spicy, so bear in mind.

Went to Chelsea market after walking the high line and really pleased we did. Lovely boutique shops. If you like seafood definitely try the fresh sea food from the fish shop. Just wish there was slightly more there!

The Chelsea Market is a great place to end your walk on the High Line and do some browsing and have a meal. There are several craft stalls, mainly selling jewellery and clothing and we spent quite a bit of time shopping. A walk through...More

if she likes to cook, the cookware shop- tons of suitcase portable items there. The cheese monger is also great - maybe she will share her memorable gift with you.
