This small area in midtown Manhattan is a pleasant place to have a coffee or snack while watching the hustle and bustle around you. The park is planted with flowers and has an abundance of tables and chairs. It is clean and there are places nearby to pick up drinks and food.

Place to sit in the spring sunshine, a very welcome place to stop in an otherwise bustling city. Has a small cafe nearby.

Good spot for a quick sit down and relax. Does get busy due to location right next to Macy's but have been here several times in our trips to NYC and always managed to get a seat easily - have not been in summer though. It is a small area and doesn't have any grass but does have lovely plants... More

Greeley Square is a fun part of Manhattan. There is a lot to see and do here. There are some nice stores and restaurants here as well.

Love the Greeley Square Park, it's located between 33rd street and 32 rd on south. Corner of Empire State Building facing the Mall on 34 street. Lovely place to seat and have lunch or meet.

I went to Greeley Park by chance in October and took advantage of the Broadway Bites event. We had a delicious lobster roll and a very tasty savoury crepe for dinner, with nice beer. Perfect stop before heading to our Broadway Show: quick, tasty, a good diversity and not too expensive. Highly recommended.

The best thing about this park is its' location. It is near Herald Square and Macy's department store - so it is a great opportunity to sit, take a break and relax after a day of walking ans/or shopping in NYC. There are many food vendors in this area and it can get crowded at times. Not far, on 32nd... More

The Square today is populated with all kinds of high cholesterol junk food vendors (it's ironic that it was created as part of Mayor Bloomberg's initiative for healthier and cleaner city). The statue of Greeley quietly and imposingly presides over the cacophony and greasy smoke, covered with pigeons and their droppings... An avid promoter of the Western expansion, Greeley is... More

Our hotel was just over the road so we often used to walk through Greeley Square Park to and from our hotel. It was extremely busy whilst we were there (July), but it was a lovely little park just to walk through.

We happened by this little park as we were walking back to our hotel . There is some sort of food festival going on. There are approximately 20 different booths featuring foods from around the world. Beer and wine were available as well. We're gonna go back again today. Note: some items are quite pricey. Highly recommend!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
