Right smack in the Theater District. We scored Sunday Matinee tikcets and watched the entry line move quickly. As one enters - the staff smoothly peeks in purses/backpacks and ushers to your seats. The Carole King Musical, Beautiful was amazing. Standing ovation good.

We really enjoyed seeing "Beautiful" at this theatre. It is very modern and well maintained. Best of all, the seats are large and comfortable. Terrific venue!

I saw Beautiful at the Sondheim theatre this weekend and was surprised by the layout. You enter at the mezzanine level and then go downstairs to access concessions, restrooms and orchestra level seats. This was great for my group as our seats were at the...More

Booked tickets to see Beautiful, Carol King’s story. Visited Saturday night performance. Great show, but spoilt as we were so cold, in fact I was shivering. The air con was totally unnecessary. Everyone was wrapped up in sweaters or jackets and several people surrounding us...More

We loved Beautiful, and found that once seated the theatre offered comfortable seating with ample leg room. The acoustics and line of vision was very good from our vantage point in Orchestra row L. There was minimal seating in the Orchestra lobby as we waited...More

This theatre has great acoustics and sight lines. I think even the last row of orchestra would be better than mid orch in other theatres. Bathroom has at least 25 stalls so the daunting intermission line flies through in time

This theater at first glance seems very nice with elevators going to each level. Our seats were in the mezzanine which is on ground level. We were delighted until we entered and found a steep set of stairs going down to our seats. There were...More

This theatre is newly done, and newly named.. well for a while now, but hadn't been touched for years.

We seen beautiful at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre and were very pleased with the overall quality. The Theatre is interesting in that the street level is the Balcony section and you actually go down 2 levels to the orchestra section - which in effect is...More

The play was amazing. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. We walked in and the mezzanine was street level. Nice..

Front row not necessary and would not even consider unless you are center; you will probably be looking up. If you are to the side, you want to be further back to have a better perspective of the stage; a better angle if... More
