A great through back bar, with a cool blue hue.

Stopped by here with some friends for a drink and was intrigued about the history of this bar. Very interesting and worth a stop if you're in the area.

Even though it has only a loose connection to the infamous Algonquin, this is my mom's favorite spot for drinks in Manhattan. Drinks are good and not too overpriced. I'd skip the appetizers they weren't very good. But it's a good place attached to the Algonquin hotel to get a flavor of Jazz Age New York.

You must beware upfront - it's not cheap. That said the cocktails are very good. Classic speakeasy cocktails.

Amazing speakeasy right near times square. The Music was incredible- so relaxing and sexy. The drinks are absolutely delicious and well worth getting as well. (Price point is higher but again- veryyy good) Great service and vibe; Beautiful bar. Our bartenders were Johnny Christian and they were extremely nice and great at recommendations. Such a cool place. Definitely check it... More

We initially visited to enjoy the historical aspect of the Algonquin, and decided to have a drink in the Blue Bar. With the blue lights, heavy dark furniture, low noise level and professional waiter, the atmosphere was soothing. We were able to have a reasonable conversation and just relax. This has to be one of the best bars in NYC.

The drinks are very expensive but once in awhile its a great place to meet with friends. The service was topnotch and the atmosphere is great.

My first "terrible" rating on Trip Advisor. My husband and I went to the Blue Bar for Dorothy Parker cocktails. Our bartender informed us of a more legit Dorothy Parker that he had created....did we want to try that instead? Why not? One of each! Yum! However, our bartender's version was $22 vs the $17 house version. And we were... More

Great spot for pre or post theatre cocktail. Attentive staff. Amazing hotel which is worth a stay. Great atmosphere and history. Good bar food. Crab cakes are wonderful. Lobster rolls but light in lobster.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a spot to get a drink and small bite before going to the theater. I would highly recommend the Blue Bar. Lots of history, nice service and good food. We tried the mojito and the mini Reuben which were delicious. A classy fun atmosphere before the show!

My wife and I enjoyed two Broadway plays while in NYC recently and stayed at a hotel near the Algonquin. On our way back to our hotel, we decided to stop at The Blue Bar for refreshments. Our waiter was Azimur and he was very good. We had the Moscow Mule and the Cucumber Martini. Both were tasty and delicious.... More

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown.
