Enjoyed watching The Lion King. Got a great deal - two seats on row W 101 and 102. Saw the show on a Thursday night and paid less than $100 each. Finding our seats was easy. They had plenty of people directing us, double and triple checking our tickets.
Theater was nice and clean. Paid $5 for a bottle of water…
Sound and lighting were excellent. The play was better than expected

This was by far the largest and most impersonal theatre we visited. Huge stage. Lots of “unnecessary advice” from self important ushers. Left with an unwelcoming feeling, whereas other theatres were glad of the business. Good seats, but long way from Stage, even although very costly in compared to other shows.

Went to see the Lion King…. Pure brilliant can’t fault this and highly recommend you to go. The theatre are very very observant on covid with lots of sanitizer around and they do ensure masks are worn and will question if yours is off. Staff are polite and very helpful… although the drinks are expensive… very expensive!

Whilst the organisation of getting people in and checking their status was good there were no refreshments in the interval. Had we known this, we would have taken some water. Very poor! The theatre needs to really address this issue. Lion King was good but the London performance was superb.

This theatre is extremely old and outdated, the seats are extremely small…This place packs a crowd and can give you joy that will last a lifetime! I chose orchestra seat 101-102 and when I tell you they were the best seats in the house, Baby I wasn’t disappointed!!!! It was spectacular.

Went to see the lions king. What a wonderfull show. The theater however doesn't do it justice. The stage is too small for it. Also if you are above 170cm tall, the seats are extremely uncomfortable and you will be struggling to sit through the performance. No wardrobe either so you be sitting with your coat on your lap.

Service at Minskoff Theatre proves while it is amongst the worlds greats! Greg, Christine, Nicholas, Lawrence and the staff at the ox office window felt like they gave me personal service. My friend was there in a cast boot and they were accommodating, kind, patient, and ensured we were looked after even before we were inside. Staff helped my friend to and from their seat with care and attention, box office charged my phone for me, and drinks at the bar were so good and the two staff were SO efficient AND friendly. Obviously the show itself, Lion King did not disappoint. We hung around for a bit following the performance (charging my phone looking out over Times Square) and it's amazing how fast and friendly the staff cleaned up! 100% for this experience.

Lovely cosy theatre. Amazing decor with the stage etc. Lovely young boy let us in at the front door and he was very helpful with the questions we had asked him. I forget his name but he had great genuine customer service.

During our recent short visit with our niece in New York, she had booked us tickets for the Broadway production of The Lion King - the experience was truly unforgettable.
The entire production - music, sets, costumes and effects are magical and, like the subject, Majestic!
The play includes many new musical numbers not in the animated movie and weaves such a wonderful visual panorama that leaves you breathless with its ingenuity and innovation.
If you have can see only one Broadway show in NY, make it The Lion King, you will not regret the decision!

I completely agree with the other reviewers who mentioned the extreme rudeness of the employees at the Minskoff Theatre in NYC.

Almost everyone else we came in contact with during our trip to NYC were friendly, helpful and courteous including the staff at our hotel, store employees and even people on the street. The Minskoff Theatre employees have found a new LOW in customer service. The bag checker at the front door, the lady at the top of the stairs who tells you - excuse me, BARKS at you - which door to go in, the people inside the theatre showing you to your seats, were all surly, unprofessional and acted like they hated their jobs. We came to see The Lion King which was outstanding, but the behavior of these employees put a sour note on an otherwise wonderful evening.
