I went there with two friends and had some very bad customer service. The security/ bouncer keep pushing us not to stand by the stage where there were a drag show. However I noticed that he was doing that only to us. I went to asked him if he has a problem With us and he was very rude. We... More

I've been to Therapy a few times in the last 5 years and have never really had a bad experience. During happy hour appetizer food is okay, friendly service and fun crowd. Late night music is good, mixed but mainly younger guys, and you can lounge downstairs or go wild upstairs. It's a good time.

Dropped into this place to enjoy the show they were promoting. I used to regularly attend their affairs, as it used to be a fun place with a cute crowd. The show was nice, but what had ruined this place is bad management. Their disregard for clientele and what they choose to 'tolerate' seems to have been thrown to the... More

Nice music, house and electronic. Nice place with two floors, clean and good. The service could be nicer though.

Come here as part of your bar hoping outing. It is near other bars in the area. The design is cute, the staff is friendly, it has some seating. Fun!

The front-door doorman demanded to scan my drivers license last night. I refused his request, stating that I do not want my personal information on my drivers license to be known to the owner/manager of Therapy bar. Thus, I was not permitted to enter the gay bar. I regularly visit many gay bars in New York's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood (around... More

The overall vibe was pretty nice; the Dj was playing really good songs; the crowd was nice. They have two levels; on level one they have the sitting area and a nice bar (the bar tenders are really friendly and very fast); they also have restrooms downstairs. Level 2 is where all the fun and dancing happens. The dance floor... More

Maybe everyone comes to this bar for the loud music, small dance floor, and mostly young and vapid crowd, but after a few drinks, the allure quickly fades away...

The bar was very nice however service and the show were.... lacking. The night I was there it was pretty busy but the bartenders seemed to have better things to do than wait on customers. (Like sit on their phones)

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
