Usually has some good Indy films in limited release. If you have a rainy day in NYC this theater feels classic. Also some of my favorite bathroom doors in the city. Check them out.

Small and with lots of personality and charm. This village theater is a favorite of ours. Staff is friendly, prices are right and they have great popcorn!

Great alternative to the big city theaters, Cinema Village offers movies you may not see at your larger theaters. Friendly staff. Saw a great indie film. Great neighborhood with nice choice of restaurants. Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office.

This cinema offers films that often cannot be seen anywhere else. We loved the cozy, friendly theater environment. The neighborhood is a great place to stroll. It's within walking distance of NYU, Union Square, and Washington Square. Many great eating places nearby.

Trendy old style theatre in West Village. Great old films and unique trendy films not available in most commercial theaters.

If you want to see some amazing independent movies than this is the place to go. This theater is so small that there are only about 6-8 rolls but that's what I think makes it so special. The ticket pricing is fare for NY along...More

The crew at Cinema Village is great. They love movies and are fast and courteous. Watch their website as they often have directors and actors on site to talk about the films. Many other cinemas in the area if their times don't work out. Great...More

Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.
