Great place to listen to music

Great place to listen to music. The sound system is quality and you are never far from the stage. Small, intimate and ideal for jazz.

We have been here on two different visits to NYC. Great jazz bar. Good vibes. Usually cover charge at the door. Very intimate environment. Definitely would recommend.

We were thirsty and looking for a place to rest our weary legs. The sound of jazz was wafting out to the street and the bar was empty. Two very generous martinis with the sound of a live jazz orchestra...doesn't get better. We will be going back to listen to more tunes.

The location and set-up is excellent at this bar. The bartenders are friendly and the show is entertaining. If you love jazz. Check this place out.

The Zinc Bar is one of the "affordable" places in NYC to listen to great live music. I go at least 3-4x a year to get my bossa nova fix. Saturday & Sunday nites are brasilian nite. Monika Oliveira will have you swaying and dancing in your seat. She is JUST WONDERFUL. Sometimes she will do a request or 2.... More

Swing band played the night we visited. Great time. Impressed that so many young people were into this kind of music. Service was what you would hope for

A friend recomended this joint and we weren't dissapointed. A dream in red velvet and amazing swing music. A club like you imagine it has been in the good old days but without the smile of course. the cocktails were a delight, my vodka martini though was the worst dish water I ever tasted. But everything else was good. A... More

We were attending a Emily Braden show. It happened to be her anniversary concert, so there were plenty of amazing special guests. The place is really cool and the Manhattan cocktails are amazing.

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
