The pizza is absolutely delicious and bagels good too. We wanted to go somewhere where the food would be reliably good and reasonably priced after a couple of disappointing NYC lunchtime eating experiences. We walked to the Riverside? Park nearby and enjoyed the take out - it was too busy to eat inside for 6 of us.

If you like deli food do not think twice. All sorts of foods in one place. Lox on bagel highly recommended, but I also tried the herring and the gefilte fish. Paradise must be eating in Zabar's everyday.

This is it, the epitome of markets. Zabar's has everything! I mean everything! The main floor is food: an extensive array of cheeses, deli meats, a butcher, fruits and veg, a coffee grinder, a bakery and much much more. The second floor has almost every kitchen and dining gadget imaginable. Once you've been once, you'll be back again and again... More

Friends of mine from New Jersey often drive in to stock up on Jewish delicacies; there's a parking lot on 80th St. with the special rate that they often use. We been coming here for at least 40 years, when we lived in the neighborhood, later when we moved to New Jersey, and now that I'm living back in New... More

I'd only ordered online from Zabar's, so I was really excited to visit the shop in person. I had no idea it was a big market in addition to being a deli. I left with a few babkas--you can't beat them.

Great NYC deli stacked with everything could could possibly want. Great for chatting with random people and a hood cure after a big night out. Ham and cheese croissant is the absolute jam. 👍🏻

This is a good place to visit if you want to start the day with breakfast and also take a visit in the busy deli next door. Certainly worth a visit.

The best selection of cheese, olives, bread, prepared food ... I have ever seen. And its all good. A large grocery store specializing in high end food items. For example more than 100 cheese types and 25 different olives, pickles and peppers. I got a container of dill pickles with fresh dill in the container. The best! I get their... More

Guidebook recommendations regarding the quality of Zabar's bagels are spot on - they are delicious and have very generous fillings. Don't be put off by the fact that the various bagel offerings are pre-made because they are very fresh and suitably chilled. Prices are very reasonable and I can heartily recommend the frozen yoghurt - brilliant! One negative prevents me... More
