Our visit to Bemelman's was a spontaneous discovery after dinner one night while visiting NYC. It was every bit of old-world loveliness that one could imagine... with exceptional service and the best ambiance I've ever experienced! It reminded me of a 40s movie where the...More

even though it is a tourist spot, it is surprisingly easy to sit at bar , especially when the music is not live. crowd seems touristy and some old time locals. If you can see the talent, like Alan Cummings, etc it is fabulous.

A classic location with great piano music and character. Artwork on the walls from Madeline and awesome drinks. Try the espresso martini, to die for.

This is a small venue in the Carlyle Hotel and it is just delightful, if noisy and overpriced for those of us not used to prices in Manhattan. Wonderful jazz, fabulous martinis and good service. They provide a few munchies. There is a cover charge...More
