Went to Stomp for the 3rd time last weekend. I've seen different performers every time and they amaze me. This time brought 2 drummers and 2 dancers and all were arguing afterward about which skills were more important in the performers. Absolutely recommend for anyone coming to NYC to see a different part of the city and reallly talented group... More

I loved it! But my wife didn't have the same...how-you-say excitement for it as I did as someone that grew up on the drum line!

Absolutely incredible performance. Haven't seen anything like it before and know the memory of the experience will last with me forever. Stunning sounds made with such ordinary items, the creativity in this performance was out of this world. A must see for everyone once in their lifetime. The theatre itself is a long way off Broadway but the small theatre... More

Our daughter got us tickets to Stomp, which is playing Off Broadway. The 1 hour, 45 minute show was non stop action. Even our seven year old great grandson was all eyes and ears for an hour and a half. It is hard to describe the show. Think of the show title and then picture brooms, garbage can lids, and... More

We enjoyed the show with our teenage girl. The beat and the way the performers communicate with the audience with no words is one of a kind

Theater is quite far off broadway. Theater itself is perfect for the neighborhood that it's in. Very unassuming place. Certainly no frills. Had seen once before, but it's very entertaining, albeit loud at times. Not words, no singing, just unique musical sounds, performed by some very talented performers,

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
