I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting as I had always wanted to see the Lion King on Broadway. But, what I know for sure, is that the Lion King exceeded my expectations. The performers were powerful, majestic, and graceful. The orchestra perfectly accompanied the feel of the performances, regardless of whether it was an emotional or playful scene.... More

There is magic in The Lion King. The music is beautifully composed and actors pour their heart and soul into the performance. I look forward to watching it again, this time as an adult.

Let me preface this review by establishing that I'm a Broadway novice. I was unhappy about the cost (over $160 per ticket from Ticketmaster) but it really was worth it. I recommend tickets down low for a few reasons: 1) It's only about $20-30 more than tickets in the balcony. Not really that much more in my opinion when you... More

Amazing production! Costumes were pretty cool! More for adults tho! It was long a little too long for young children!

We got our last minute ticket from our hotel concierge ($127/pp sitting at Mezzanine F row) great view from the top. Shows start at 8pm. It's a huge theater. Before entering there is a security check. Seat was nice & comfortable. 15mins break in between. Some souvenirs sold outside the theater. Toilets were clean & huge. Overall great experience. A... Loved the energy of the actors and the way they created the Lion King scenes were very creative. We sat in the balcony in the... More

Great show!! We sat in the left floor seating area in an isle seat. Great location no heads blocking our view at all. The actors were awesome!! We loved every minute of the show.

Yes I am 52 years old, been to Africa twice, had seen the Lion King in a middle school production and had never seen it on Broadway. WHAT WAS I THINKING.I cried.! It was magnificent. If I saw this show as a young kid I think I would have been in the set design field. It is something everyone should... More

The Lion King is superb. The sets and lighting make it look like a page right out of a colorful storybook. The singers have the most beautiful voices, the "animals"and characters spend some time out by the audience, and you even get to chuckle once in a while! It's a definite must see if you have kids.

Costumes and music were phenomenal. Orchestra was perfect, drummer was excellent. Old Simba didn't seem great - voice wasn't as solid as others.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
