Not the typical musical in the sense of flashy costumes and the underlying certainty that everything will work out in the end. Rather short compared to other Broadway productions (1h 40min). Might be hard to understand for non-native English speakers due to quite heavy accents...More

Beautiful, comfortable theatre. We were so excited to see Tony Shalhoub.. Shame on me for not reading more carefully, but when they highlight him in their photo gallery, It is misleading. We kept waiting for it to grab us, but it did not. Hoped the...More

We booked out tickets before the 10 TONY awards....thank goodness as you cannot get a ticket now. For me this is more of a play with music, but its just fantastic. You are I used on the story and the actors all give first class...More

Critics loved it because it is simple and not the usual blow-out Broadway production. The sound system makes it difficult to hear the lyrics, the music is instantly forgettable and the characters seem listliss and do not generate any empathy. The Arab band is wonderful...More

I go to Broadway shows all the time, and honestly, I had problems staying awake for this. It was a total let down, considering all the Tony award nominations. The characters had no chemistry, the story jumped around and didn't go deep enough w/ any...More

Unfortunately not a good show. No colorful costumes. No interesting scenery. Show moved very slowly, occasional music but not a lot except final number was good. Costumes were boring Just dragged on. No real upbeat musical numbers. Characters played their role well but just BLAH!

I am a theatre geek and see plays all the time but The Band's Visit (that's the whole name) is the sweetest, most amazing play I have seen in a long time. The cast is perfect for this story and from the moment it begins,...More

We purchased same day tickets at TKTS and got orchestra seats for balcony prices. The show was a wonderful example of diversity: Acceptance between an Israli small town of Saudi Arabian visitors. Relationships were developed over a rotating stage. Don't want to say too much...More

A fun play with talented cast. Lots of allegory with deep meaning on transformation by external intervention. On the superficial level, story is original and cute. No intermission so go to washroom before performance! Musicians are talented but there are no show stopping songs. Would...More

Absolutely loved this musical from start to finish - no weak spots... Katrina Lenk and Tony Shalhoub were wonderful as well as the rest of the cast. This performance is done without intermission so make sure you are on time. Tony material for my two...More
